Expect temperatures around 10-13°C (50-55°F), accompanied by unpredictable rain and fog, adding a wonderfully moody ambiance to your elopement pictures! But also be prepared for sunny days! Just during 20 minutes you can see all kinds of weather in Iceland, and that’s so much fun!

What to wear for an elopement in Iceland? Layers! We always recommend to have thermal underwear, then mid layer, and a wind- waterproof jacket, waterproof boots to keep you comfy during your biggest adventure.
Icelandic weather can be unpredictable, and it’s essential to stay warm and dry, especially if you’ll be outdoors for extended periods. - What if weather will get too extreme? Given such a different weather conditions, maintaining flexibility with your elopement date is key. Differently from many photographers, we consistently reserve a buffer day for our couples, ensuring there’s a backup plan in case the weather turns particularly harsh!
- Can I speak English in Iceland? Absolutely yes! Official language in Iceland is Icelandic, but everyone knows English well, even in little villages.

Best way to travel around Iceland: Rent a car and have fun! It’ll give you flexibility to stop anywhere you like and enjoy nature.
Important to know: don’t stop in the middle of the road to prevent dangerous situations, find special places to pull over.
Off-road driving is not permitted. - Hiking rules to follow: always stay on path and follow leave no trace principles. It might take thousands of years for Icelandic nature to regenerate. Respect local land, don’t feed anymals as they can get sick, and leave the place better than you found it. :)
